Testimonials
Working with Quinton on an activity book for children and young people in hospitals was a joy. His understanding of Fine Art and passion for portraiture underpinned his illustrations of sitters from the Gallery’s Collection, evident in the likenesses and his unique, thoughtful portrayals. He was keen to understand the audience group and respond sensitively to their needs, constantly adapting to feedback as the project developed. The sitters’ stories and associated activities have been brought to life by his lively animated drawings.
Anna Linch, National Portrait Gallery
Quinton is one of the most versatile, talented and intuitive illustrators on the planet. His illustrations for the Gogglebox book captured the humour and essence of our cast perfectly. As well as being hugely talented, he's an absolute pleasure to work with... and very modest with it.
Tania Alexander, Creator and Executive Producer of Gogglebox
Working with Quinton on Stories For Boys Who Dare To Be Different, Stories For Kids Who Dare To Be Different and Stories for Boys Who Dare To Be Different 2 has been a total joy. He has shown incredible imagination, remarkable speed and great sensitivity. I love how he has chosen to represent all these ground-breaking boys and girls in a way that is visually intriguing and engaging. He is also a magician with colours. I can’t recommend him enough.
Katy Follain, Non-Fiction Publisher, Quercus
Quinton’s colors are clean, thoughtful and considered, taking in both the mood of the moment and matching the style of the story. He’s a delight to work with and I recommend his talents to anyone.
Molly Mahan, Editor, DCVertigo Comics
Quinton did a brilliant job of illustrating our award-winning column for many years. Since then I have continued to commission him for a variety of successful projects.
Anamaria Stanley, Studio Manager, Time Out
From Tom Waits beating the hell out of defenceless donkeys for Mule Variations via Beady Eye stood foolishly on a hill to a 21st century schizoid Jack White… Quinton has always had a surreal eye for the tortuously twisted likeness. Yet at the same time as visually lambasting his subjects there runs a parallel thread of genuine warmth and affection. His portraits have enlivened many a MOJO lead album page, bursting forth with humour and a uniquely colourful vibrancy.
